His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Deputy Sultan in a sabda expressed hope in several matters to guarantee a high level of combat readiness and preparedness of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF at all times. This includes the RBAF, through the Whole of Government approach, being able to foster cooperation with stakeholder ministries or institutions to improve military professionalism, and cooperation with national cyber security agencies as well as with the Armed Forces of friendly nations to be continued. His Royal Highness stated the matter at the 64th RBAF Anniversary. The grand parade involving one thousand and sixty four RBAF personnel took place at the Parade Ground of the Muara Naval Base, Royal Brunei Navy, 31st May morning.
Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence, and Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the RBAF.
His Royal Highness then inspected the Guard of Honour under the command of Commander Mohammad Faizal Ezam bin Haji Abas of the Royal Brunei Navy. This was followed by the slow and quick march-past.
His Royal Highness in the sabda highlighted that the RBAF, in its maturity has clearly shown numerous developments. In the sabda, His Royal Highness was pleased with the RBAF's efforts in enhancing the human resource capacity, including initiatives of bringing in certain specialists from friendly nations towards optimising the number of personnel joining training, and reducing the country's expenses. The integrity of the country's cyber defence was also emphasised in the sabda.
Doa selamat was read by Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Mujib bin Haji Japar, Acting Director of the RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA'AT).
